Carwash Photo Gallery
The FVRR percussion ensemble worked their first 2008-2009 fundraiser at a carwash hosted by Chipotle Mexican Grill and WAMU Bank on the corner of Brookhurst and Garfield. Drumline parent Polly Stecyk and her daughter, Elise Ramos organized a super-successful event with the kids doing all of the work and keeping all of the profits! The kids washed 80 cars in five hours and managed to have a good time while raising cash for drumline activities for the year ahead. The last car through the wash was none other than our Band director himself, Mr. Wampler! He surprised the group by driving from home on a Saturday to support the ensemble! Thanks to the students and parents who worked so hard and brought supplies and to all of those who bought tickets. An extra-special thank-you goes out to managers Maria and Carlina at Chipotle and Gabby at WAMU Bank who provided the water and parking lot space. FVRR families- please be sure to patronize these supportive business partners! |
