Chaperone
Uniforms
Uniforms have 9-11 parts and each need special handling when hanging and storing. Students and parents wishing to review the proper care and hanging of a uniform may review the info below and direct questions to either a chaperone or a uniform parent
UNIFORM RULES
1. When changing, ALL clothing items including shoes should be put directly into garment bag; not on the ground. This includes both non-uniform and uniform items because things get lost quickly if set down!
2. After changing into/out of uniforms, garment bags are hung ONLY on uniform carts. We may move carts so everything should stay together.
3. Shakos are set behind you on the ground during warm-up with top of shako up and facing out, ready to be plumed.
4. To correctly hang a uniform:
- Pants are folded over hanger properly, clipped into the pant holder to prevent them from falling inside the bag.
- Jackets are fully zipped up on hanger, shoulder flaps folded in toward neckline, BALDRICS FACING THE BACK OF THE BAG (otherwise they get caught in the garment bag zipper).
- Shoes, socks, and gloves are in the small zip pouch on back of garment bag.
5. When finished properly hanging uniform, return it to your cart in numerical order.
Take care of your uniform -- take care of your appearance!
