FVRR performs at Disneyland each year
Each year the FVRR parades down Main Street USA in the pre-show just before the big December Disneyland Parade. This is always an honor to perform in this parade based on our audition and past excellent performance standards. This is an all day event which is a school approved event providing Career-path skills. See the FVRR Calendar in December for details.
FVRR in the Disneyworld Studio Workshop every four years
Every four years, the FVRR provides an incredible opportunity for it’s members. One full week in Florida and the Bahamas. Members perform at Disneyworld in the Educational Studio Workshop learning how the Hollywood Studio Musicians record a Soundtrack. The members experience the unforgettable production process of rehearsal and performance techniques to “get it right the first time.” The FVRR Color Guard also participates in the Disney Dance Workshop. Members and the chaperones also experience the unique Disneyworld Parks. That is not all… The FVRR boards a cruise ship for three days at sea. This optional trip includes all food, transportation, events, and everything for great group rate prices. The next trip is Spring Break 2013 and “should” be about $1400 per person.
FVRR receives the $5,000 Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund Grant 2008, 2009, 2010
Each year the FVRR Booster Board writes a grant to Disney for funds to help with FVRR student needs. Disneyland Cast Members donate towards this program granting funds to schools in the community. The FVRR is proud to have received this Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund Grant in 2008, 2009, & 2010. We, the FVRR, thanks the Cast Members of Disneyland for providing another magical dream for the hard working Royal Regiment.
